Tacking Point with its lighthouse is one of the outstanding features of the Port Macquarie coastline.
The headland marks the end of a great coastal walk from Nobby's Hill. The Council has built solid boardwalks over the rockier parts and this scenic walk passes Shelly and Miners beaches and headlands - all in all a good hour or two of walking. It can be cut into shorter walks.
It's a great way to spend a morning at Port Macquarie and guests can return to Woodlands for a well deserved refreshment on one of the pool side lounges.
